Family & Graduation Portraits

Murray Family 09062014 (High Res)-19

How does it work?

When you book your session, we'll discuss location, the type of look you are seeking, clothing options, and any special requests you may have. After that, we'll meet at our agreed upon starting location - whether it's at your home, a park, or a studio space - and get to know each other.  We'll likely start with some whole group portraits as a way to get everyone relaxed in front of the camera and loosened up a bit, then move into individual portraits and smaller groupings. We can move around for different looks, or stay in one spot, whatever everyone is feeling on the day.

Within two weeks of your session, I'll send you an online gallery of all the best images from our time together, which you can share with family and friends if you wish. Depending on the package you decided to purchase, you'll choose a number of digital files to keep and some to print. I'll then get to work colour correcting and performing some light retouching to make those images look their best.

Finally, I will send you your finished digital files in both high resolution and web-ready versions so that you can print and share online easily.

A bit about your photographer:

When my business first started, family and graduation portraits were my bread and butter. As a stay-at-home dad, I loved interacting with families, bringing reluctant kids out of their shells and harnessing the energy of the less reluctant ones; making wall art that is beloved by my clients is incredibly fulfilling.

I still love all of those things, which is why I continue to offer family sessions. Indoors or outdoors, at golden hour or between naptimes, I'll bring out the best in your family, capturing natural expressions and genuine interactions in polished and dramatic professional portraits, creating keepsakes you will treasure.
